Whether I am painting people, landscape, studio pieces or in plein air, I use the same palette and thought process.  When I paint, I try to see everything as a particular shape, color, and value and keep all these components in proper relationship with each other. The paintings serve as a diary of my life, recording the places I visit, interesting things I see and the people I meet.
