USING PHOTOS IN A MORE CREATIVE WAY

OCTOBER 13-15, 2021/ DOT COURSON STUDIO/ PONTOTOC, MS

The emphasis in this class is learning how to use the photograph as something to “refer to” in the process of creating a painting. Students will bring their own original reference photographs, either print or digital. Subject matter can be people, landscape, interior or anything else. Class instruction will include lecture, power point presentations and demos as well as easel to easel instruction. My goal is to help students transform reference material into completed paintings that reflect their personal point of view as an artist.  A full color booklet of notes and six weeks of on line instruction are included with the class.
